Indiana’s 1st Source Bank announces leadership changes

South Bend, Ind.-based 1st Source Bank recently announced several leadership changes.

According to a press release, current bank President Andrea Short will also become its CEO on Dec. 1. Christopher Murray III will remain chair, president and CEO of 1st Source Bank while serving as the chair of the bank’s holding company, the $8.1 billion 1st Source Corp. 

A CPA, Short joined 1st Source’s tax department in 1998 and was promoted to assistant vice president and tax director three years later. She’s been promoted several times since. Short graduated from Alma College, Mich., with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business. She also graduated from the University of Chicago’s Booth School Chicago Management Institute and The Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.

Kevin Murphy, 1st Source Bank’s IT, marketing and digital strategy leader, was named chief digital officer and promoted to executive vice president of both the bank and holding company. Murphy joined 1st Source in 2006, and he’s since held many positions and management roles. Murphy graduated from Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree from DeVry University, Chicago, and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Ind.
