The American Bankers Association promoted Robert Flock to senior vice president of its Office of Strategic Engagement.
Flock will manage a team overseeing state policy issues and external engagement, along with grassroots activities and voter education. Flock will serve as staff liaison to the ABA Government Relations Council.
“Robert has a deep understanding of the policymaking process and an impressive track record of coalition building both inside and outside of the financial services sector,” said Jess Sharp, ABA executive vice president of advocacy and innovation. “His experience, leadership and creative approaches to advocacy will benefit ABA member banks of all sizes going forward.”
