AbbyBank donates $60,000 to two nonprofits

Abbotsford, Wis.-based AbbyBank Foundation donated $50,000 to local fitness group Respect Empower Community Center to help construct a new walking track and $10,000 to local group Bridge Street Mission for renovations and equipment purchases for its new building.

The R.E.C. Center includes a safe environment for youth, learning and social opportunities for senior citizens and health and wellness resources. “We are honored to partner with the R.E.C. Center in creating a space that supports wellness, inclusion, and community growth,” said Abby Bank Medford (Wis.) Branch Manager Sue Ackerman. “The new walking track will help individuals of all ages stay active, connect with others, and feel empowered to invest in their health and happiness.”

The new 35,000 square-foot space for Bridge Street Mission will serve as  outreach and house recovery centers for men and women in the Greater Wausau and Marathon County (Wis.) communities.

“We are privileged to support Bridge Street Mission in their mission to address hunger and homelessness,” said Abby Bank Wausau (Wis.) Branch Manager Jenelle Thompson. “This expanded facility will make a substantial difference, providing a foundation for countless individuals to move forward and achieve lasting stability.”
