AbbyBank to donate remodeled building

Abbotsford, Wis.-based AbbyBank is sprucing up a branch building before passing it along to new ownership.

The bank is remodeling its current location at 801 Main Street in Gresham. The project will include new business offices and a community room for the town of 500 people. Upon completion, AbbyBank will donate the building to Gresham and lease branch space in the building.

“AbbyBank is excited about this ‘win-win’ accomplishment whereby we helped the Village of Gresham obtain new office space for their growing needs and modernize our banking office for our Gresham customers,” said CEO Craig Stuedemann. “We have a long history of supporting the community and are proud to continue that tradition with this unique partnership.”

Work in the town northwest of Green Bay will be overseen  by Keller, Inc., as the design/build firm and general contractor. The remodeling project, which started July 9, will finish by year-end.

Gresham also received a $125,000 Community Development Investment Grant through Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation to help support the remodeling project.

“We are extremely grateful to the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation for our CDI grant,” said Brian Carroll, Operations Manager of the Village of Gresham. “Sharing this space with AbbyBank helps bring us together to ensure our businesses and residents have a great place to live, work and play.”

The $628 million AbbyBank has seven offices in central and eastern Wisconsin.
