Michael Wilson was appointed executive vice president of innovation and corporate services for Iowa-based Ames National Corporation.
Wilson has served as the chief lending officer of a central Iowa bank and managed a commercial agribusiness team for a national insurer. He began his banking career as a commercial lender in the Des Moines market.
Wilson, a U.S. Army veteran who is reentering the banking field after retiring at the beginning of this year, received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from Iowa State University, Ames.
“We are very excited to have someone of [Wilson’s] caliber joining our team,” added Ames National CEO and President John Nelson. “[Wilson] will provide strong synergies to build upon our products and services and enhance shareholder value in that process.”
