Green Bay, Wis.-based Associated Bank recently expanded its Chicago-based commercial banking team by hiring six executives.
The bank hired Phil Chen and Jamillah Pointer as senior vice presidents and relationship managers. Chen has a decade of commercial banking experience. He previously worked with the Bank of China, leading the institution’s Midwest-based mid/large corporate team. Chen has bachelor’s degrees in finance and entrepreneurship from Indiana University, Bloomington. Pointer has more than 20 years of experience in commercial banking, organizational leadership and financial/credit analysis. She has a finance degree from DePaul University, Chicago, and is an MBA candidate at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, Baltimore.
The bank also named four vice presidents, including Ian Ormseth as a relationship manager and Tom Greene, John Schellinger and Aditi Shah as portfolio managers. Ormseth has a decade of commercial banking experience, including portfolio and relationship management roles at Rosemont, Ill.-based Wintrust. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas. Greene has nearly 15 years of commercial banking experience, most recently as a senior associate at Schaumburg, Ill.-based Newpoint Advisors. He has a finance degree from Loyola University, Chicago.
Schellinger has eight years of commercial banking experience, including with Chicago-based BMO Harris. He has finance and accounting degrees from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Shah has eight years of commercial banking experience in the mid-corporate division of Citizens Financial Group, Providence, R.I. She has a finance degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
