Ames, Iowa-based Availa Bank hired Tom Mortice as vice president senior loan officer.
Mortice has more than 25 years of banking experience and has had several commercial banking roles in the Des Moines and Ames areas, most recently as market president for another financial institution.
Mortice has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Iowa State University, and also graduated from Minnesota Business and Commercial Lending Academy.
“His strong banking experience and knowledge will bring value to our clients and assist Availa Bank in continuing its strong growth in the market,” said Ames Market President Kevin Geis. “Tom and his family are active members of Ames and the greater Ames community, and their involvement meets a variety of needs and growth in the area.”
