Think Mutual Bank, Rochester, Minn., used HTG Architects for its two-story, 8,440-square- foot branch in Edina, Minn.
Logan State Bank, Missouri Valley, Iowa, is much smaller than its headquarters facility in Logan, Iowa, but is still able to provide all the same services in a welcoming building designed by The Kirk Gross Company of Waterloo, Iowa.
Fargo, N.D.-based Gate City Bank asked Wild CRG to remodel its downtown Fargo location. The two-story, 18,090-square-foot bank facility includes a lobby styled like a living room with a coffee and cookie bar. Cookies are baked daily within the lobby to provide fresh cookie smells throughout the bank.
Capitol Federal’s new branch in Maize, Kan., by WDM Architects beautifully represents the bank’s brand through extensive use of glass for natural lighting, clean modern lines and natural materials for the exterior and “True Blue” color scheme in the interior finishes.
American State Bank, Osceola, Iowa, worked with The Kirk Gross Company of Waterloo, Iowa, to build a new building for its branch in Somerset, Iowa. The facility was specifically designed to incorporate columns — a signature element of its other facilities — and to have a large percentage of glass.
Great Western Bank, Marshall, Minn., was designed by The Kirk Gross Company of Waterloo, Iowa, for extended hours for customer convenience and interaction. Interactive teller machines in the lobby can be accessed outside of business hours with necessitating staffing the branch.
The Kirk Gross Company of Waterloo, Iowa, built a 1,500-square-foot addition for the Home State Bank, Jefferson, Iowa. The company’s work on the branch also included 7,500 square feet of remodeling. The redesigned lobby allows the bank to exhibit a rotating gallery of artwork, including photography by an employee of the bank.
CBI Bank & Trust, Muscatine, Iowa, recruited The Kirk Gross Company of Waterloo, Iowa, to remodel one of its Muscatine branches to make it more “homey.” The 3,957-square-foot branch previously had colonial touches.

Turnkey Associates, L.C., quadrupled the size of an original mobile bank of First National Bank, Hastings, Minn., with a new 4,550-square-foot building on a steeply sloped site in a residential neighborhood.
The Olivia branch of F& Bank Minnesota received a complete makeover at the hands of Vanman Architects and Builders of Minneapolis. When the Clarkfield, Minn.-based bank bought the 9,527-square-foot branch, it looked the same as it had in the 1970s. The remodel opened up the space and increased lighting by skylights to the roof and windows to the building’s front.
F&M Bank in Olivia, Minn., worked with Vanman Architects and Builders of Minneapolis to create a dramatic update with a modern feel by utilizing large format tiles that also allow for individual replacement and environmental consciousness.

Lake State Bank (now First National Bank of Walker, Minn.) bought a 4,100-square-foot branch in Jenkins, Minn., and moved it down the road to Baxter, Minn. Vanman Architects and Builders of Minneapolis cut the branch in two, moved it and put it back together again with some interior remodeling.
Wild CRG of Fargo, N.D., helped Horizon Financial Bank, Munich, N.D., update its overall design signature and build its newest branch in Bismarck. Half of the building’s 14,000 square feet is leasable office space.
