Bank marketing expert, Burrington, passes

Terry Burrington, well known to bankers in Wisconsin, died Tuesday, Jan. 23. He was 74.

In 1976, Burrington became the marketing officer for Prairie City Bank in Prairie du Chien, Wis. In 1981 he started a marketing and consulting business, Financial Marketing Corporation. He operated the company up until the time of his death. For 13 years, Burrington ran a peer-to-peer networking group for bank CEOs and CFOs in Wisconsin. For more than three decades, he regularly attended numerous industry meetings.
