Nebraska’s Bank of the Valley continues growth

Bellwood, Neb.-based Bank of the Valley will soon complete work on its seventh branch, in Schuyler, Neb.

The branch is expected to open in September, and a weeklong grand opening celebration is slated for October.

The branch will offer products and services for individual, agricultural and commercial customers.

Bank of the Valley has undertaken steady growth over the decades. The bank, which opened its first branch in Bellwood in 1984, expanded to David City, Neb., in 1996 and Platte Center, Neb., in 2007. Bank of the Valley continued growing with the acquisition of Farmers State Bank in Humphrey, Neb., in 2016.

“It’s been wonderful getting to know the people and businesses that make Schuyler the amazing community that it is,” said Vice President-Loan Officer Nolan Samek. “I’ve learned much more about the great things that are going on, and the plans for making Schuyler even more successful in the future. I’m excited for Bank of the Valley to be a part of it.”
