Bankers’ Bank adds correspondent banker

Jim Houston

Jim Houston joined Bankers’ Bank, Madison, Wis., as vice president, correspondent banker. He works in the Bloomington, Ill., office as a regional correspondent banker supporting customer relationships throughout central Illinois.

Houston has more than 20 years of experience working with financial institutions with a variety of asset sizes throughout the Midwest. He has been involved with strategic planning for organizations and has held roles including regional vice president and district manager for a group of branches with deposits over $1.2 billion. Previously, he has worked for Advia Credit Union, Parchment, Mich., and in Michigan for Comerica Bank, Dallas.

Houston has a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication and an MBA from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, and has attended MarketSim Training from the Consumer Bankers Association.
