Banks name board members

Stephen Johnson

Bank First, Manitowoc, Wis., named Stephen E. Johnson to its board of directors as of Jan. 1. He previously was market president and CRA officer for Bank First.

Prior to joining Bank First, he was director of compliance and board chair of First National Bank and of Waupaca Bancorporation, Inc. Johnson played a significant role in the merger of Bank First and WBC in 2017.

The $1.74 billion Bank First also named Jim Lotter to regional president for Waupaca, Wis. In this new role, he will be responsible for for the growth and development of the bank’s new western region market.

Lotter joined Bank First in 2017 with over twenty-five years of banking experience. Prior to his tenure with Bank First, he led the Sheboygan, Wis., market for Wisconsin Bank & Trust. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee.

Lee Mitchell and Jason Kelly were named to the boards of the $3.9 billion German American Bank and German American Bancorp, Jasper, Ind.

Mitchell is former chair of First Security Bank, Inc., Owensboro, Ky., and is the owner and operator of L Mitchell Farms and president and CEO of Amino Health, Inc. A founding director of First Security Bank, he helped build and grow First Security prior to the bank’s merger with German American during the fourth quarter of 2018.

Jason Kelly

Kelly is president and CEO of Servus, Inc., which owns and operates a network of restaurants in Indiana. He began his career with 8 years in the public home building sector and previously was CFO of a regional commercial real estate developer in Indianapolis.

He has a master’s degree in accounting from Indiana University, Bloomington, and an undergraduate degree in management from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind.
