Centier Bank names 2 new vice presidents

Merrillville, Ind.-based Centier Bank promoted Chuck Dayton to vice president, mortgage loan officer and hired Andy Steffel as vice president, business banker.

Dayton joined the bank in 2001 as a branch associate before joining the bank’s mortgage department. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Business, Bloomington, with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration as well as finance and marketing concentrations.

Residential mortgage production manager Navi Singh spoke highly of Dayton. “Chuck has a passion for his community,” Singh said. “This passion shows not only in his community involvement but also in how he takes care of each client as if they were family.”

Steffel has spent 14 years working in financial services at a regional financial institution. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Ben Jefferis, commercial real estate group manager at Centier Bank, said Steffel “fits right into Centier’s relationship-style banking philosophy. He’s knowledgeable and experienced and is able to work with clients on the best programs to fit their needs.”
