Centier Bank donates $54K to Indiana United Way agencies

Merrillville, Ind.-based Centier Bank donated $54,000 to Indiana United Way agencies following an employee fundraising campaign.

The donation was funded by associate contributions and a matching corporate gift as part of an annual workplace giving campaign. The donation followed Centier’s $65,000 donation to the organization last year, for a two-year total of more than $100,000.

The funds will support United Way agencies in Indiana, including the dozen counties within Centier’s footprint. The donation will also support flagship initiatives such as Level Up, which provides crucial resources, education and support.

“I am immensely grateful to everyone who made this generous donation possible,” said Anthony Contrucci, president of Centier Bank’s parent company, First Bancshares, Inc. “Through this fundraising or community relations campaign, the Centier team has once again showcased our commitment to giving back and creating meaningful impact in our communities.”
