Sparta, Mich.-based ChoiceOne Bank donated $55,000 to the Kiwanis Club of Lapeer, Mich., to build an inclusive playground.
ChoiceOne is in the fundraising stage for the playground and expects to begin installation by 2025.
“This playground will touch so many families in our communities, young and old,” said Michael Burke Jr., president of the $2.5 billion bank. “The fact that it is inclusive means it will ensure that children and adults of all ages and abilities are able to play and learn together.”
