CNB puts a roof on library

CNB Bank & Trust in Carlinville, Ill., is helping put a roof on the local library, dropping $1,000 into the pot for repairs.

Funds came from the bank’s Jeans/Casual Fridays initiative, in which employees donate money in exchange for wearing jeans to work on the last day of the week.

“We’re just thrilled with their generosity,” said Janet Howard, director of the Carlinville Public Library. “We really appreciate their support of the community and our library.”

Other recent recipients of funds from the bank’s initiative include the COVID-19 project of the Macoupin Center for the Developmentally Disabled, as well as food service for everyone who worked COVID-19 clinics at the Macoupin County Public Health Department.

The $1.5 billion CNB has 18 offices in Illinois and Missouri.
