Union Grove, Wis.-based Community State Bank, Rotary Club of Burlington and the Burlington Rotary Rescue Squad Fund raised enough funds to donate nearly 240 meals for the 2021 Love, Inc. and Rotary Club of Burlington Thanksgiving meal campaign.
Community State Bank employees and the bank donated 64 meals. The Rotary Club of Burlington collected 70. The Burlington Rotary Rescue Squad Fund agreed to match the donations up to $3,000 — 237 Thanksgiving meals. The Thanksgiving boxes were distributed to families earlier this month at Love, Inc. Families could choose ham or turkey, apple or pumpkin pie, and fixings. Love, Inc. will have takeout meals on Thanksgiving Day.
Love, Inc. is hosted annually by the Rotary Club and has provided meals to local families in need for more than 20 years. “This is our second year participating in the campaign and it’s just as exciting as the last,” said CSB Burlington Market President Becky McClelland.
