Wis. banker never hears the word ‘No’ – literally

Starting a bank is no small feat – just ask Jim and Jeanine Meisser. Lake Shore Bank, Sheboygan, Wis., has received a state charter and expects to open for business in the third quarter of 2008. The effort began in 2006. The Meissers, who have a combined total of more than 50 years of banking industry experience, decided to pursue a charter largely on their own.
