Dacotah names new market president

Paige Bjornson

Paige Bjornson has been promoted to market president of Valley City, N.D., for Dacotah Bank, Aberdeen, S.D. Previously a senior business banker, Bjornson replaced the retiring Dick Gulmon.

Incoming market president Paige Bjornson is a Valley City native. Her banking career started with Security State Bank of North Dakota for one year, and the last 26 years have been with Dacotah Bank, formerly Farmers & Merchants Bank of Valley City.

Bjornson has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from North Dakota State University, Fargo, and is a graduate of the Dakota School of Banking and the ABA National Commercial Lending School.

She currently serves on the Valley City-Barnes County Development Corp board of directors, VCSU Business advisory board, Our Saviors Lutheran Church Council and CHI Mercy Health board of directors.

Gulmon started his banking career with Farmers & Merchants Bank in Valley City 37 years ago, with his last 19 years at Dacotah Bank.  He served as business banker and in 2013 assumed the role of market president. He is active in Valley City Park and Recreation, USA Softball of North Dakota, Valley City State University Foundation, Sheyenne Care Center advisory board and South Central Senior Center, among others.

David Mouw

Dacotah Bank also hired David Mouw as a business deposit services banker in its Sioux Falls office to focus on sales and support of commercial cash management services throughout the territory.

Originally from Sioux Falls, Mouw had previously worked for Wells Fargo and has a degree in economics from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. He serves on the board for Hope Community Church – Sioux Falls.
