First Business bank welcomes Swanson as senior VP

First Business Bank in Madison, Wis., has welcomed Bryan Swanson as senior vice president-director of commercial and industrial lending. 

Swanson, who has more than 20 years of banking experience, started his career as a senior analyst with Park Bank in Madison before progressing to credit officer. He eventually transitioned into a commercial banking relationship manager role in 2005. Since 2014, Swanson has held a variety of management and sales leadership positions, most recently as senior vice president with Chicago-based First Midwest Bank following its acquisition of Park Bank in 2020. 

Swanson earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and MBA from Iowa State University, Ames.  “I’m very pleased to have Bryan on board at First Business Bank,” said Kevin Kane, president – Southeast Wisconsin Market for First Business Bank. “His experience, leadership, and dedication to our local business communities’ success is well known, and we’re very happy to have him leading our commercial & industrial lending team here in Greater Milwaukee.”

The $2.6 billion First Business Bank has five branches in Wisconsin, Kansas and Indiana.
