Wisconsin-based First Business Bank names CEO, promotes several other executives

Jim Hartlieb was named president and CEO of Madison, Wis.-based First Business Bank

Hartlieb, who was also appointed as a director of the bank’s board, joined First Business in 2009 as senior vice president and has been president since 2015.

The $2.8 billion bank announced several other promotions in a Jan. 3 press release, including: 

  • Dave Seiler to president and chief operating officer of First Business Bank’s holding company First Business Financial Services, Inc. Seiler, who joined the bank in 2016, has been COO for the last six years. 
  • First Business Bank CEO Mark Meloy to executive vice president of the holding company. A 35-year banking veteran, Meloy has been with the company since 2000.
  • John Hoesch to president of the bank’s Greater Dane County market.
  • Chris Doering to senior vice president and director of commercial banking.
