First International Bank & Trust in Watford City, N.D., has promoted D. Patrick Franklin to director of wealth management.
Franklin joined FIBT in May of 2020 as a wealth management operations manager and is considered to be a veteran in trust, wealth and retirement operation services. He also has 30 years of experience in managing systems administration, strategic planning, business operations and client relationship management. He has more than a decade of experience in the oil and gas industry.
“Patrick has made a significant impact in leading our wealth management operations team,” said FIBT President Peter Stenehjem. “He’s helped create cohesiveness in operations, ensuring our team can provide the high-level experience our customers expect. Franklin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Southeastern Louisiana University, Hammond. He is also a Certified Securities Operations Professional, Certified Trust Operations Professional and holds a Certification in Options Processing and Trading.
The $4.7 billion FIBT has 30 offices in North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota and Arizona.
