First Interstate Bank hires chief banking officer

Billings, Mont.-based First Interstate BancSystem, Inc., appointed Ashley Hayslip as executive vice president, chief banking officer of First Interstate Bank. 

Hayslip previously worked at Umpqua Bank, Portland, Ore., in a  variety of leadership positions, most recently as EVP, community and business banking. She’s also served in leadership positions at Bank of the West, San Francisco, and Zions Bancorp, Salt Lake City.  

Hayslip graduated with honors from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and communication. She will begin in her role in late November, replacing CBO Russell Lee when he retires at the end of the year.
