First Interstate names Reuter president, CEO

Billings, Mont.-based First Interstate BancSystem appointed Jim Reuter to president and CEO.

Reuter’s appointment is effective Nov. 1. He replaces Kevin Riley, who announced his retirement earlier this year. Reuter previously served as president and CEO for seven years at FirstBank Holding Co., one of the largest private banks in the nation, before he retired in March. Reuter is credited with leading FirstBank through one of its largest periods of growth in its history, to more than $28 billion from $17 billion when he was named CEO in 2016.
