First Security Bank & Trust wins three motion picture awards

Charles City, Iowa-based First Security Bank & Trust secured three awards during the 32nd annual Iowa Motion Picture Awards ceremony on May 6.

The awards, intended to mark excellence in Iowa-based visual media, included.

  • The Award of Excellence in Commercials with a Budget Under $1,000 and Digital Marketing for a video celebrating March Madness. The video portrays bankers trying their hand at a different speciality before realizing that banking is the right fit.    
  • Award of Achievement in Commercials with a Budget under $1,000 for a video showing Ag & Commercial Lender Andy Helgeson taking viewers into the combine during harvest to demonstrate hands-on abilities and knowledge of agriculture. 
  • An Award of Achievement in Digital Marketing for a video encouraging more awareness of the First Security-supported haunted house project Rudd House of Horrors.

The bank also received eight nominations. 

“We think it’s important to find a variety of ways to raise awareness about what we’re doing and the community projects we’re supporting,” said Matt Bradley, vice president, marketing and communications manager. “Our team has a lot of fun making videos, and it’s an honor to be recognized.”
