Foresight Financial Group names James CFO

Winnebago, Ill.-based Foresight Financial Group appointed Todd James as CFO.

James, who will assume the role effective Aug. 19, replaces Dean Cooke who is stepping away following a 27-year career with the company.

James has more than 30 years of experience to Foresight Financial Group, having started his career in public accounting before entering banking. He spent the last two decades at Blackhawk Bank in Beloit, Wis., including as president, CEO and chair for the last five years.

A Certified Public Accountant, James has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Northeast Missouri State University, Kirksville, and from the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wis.

“The addition of Todd to our executive staff and the experience he brings at both the CFO and CEO level adds enormous depth to our team,” said CEO Peter Morrison. “Having brought on former Illinois Bank and Trust CEO Jeff Hultman as Foresight president in April, the addition of Todd James clearly exhibits the commitment Foresight has in being the preeminent banking group in northwestern Illinois and southwestern Wisconsin.”
