Former regulator learned from farm crisis

After three-and-a-half years as a North Dakota state bank examiner, Greg Vetter took a job in credit administration at American State Bank and Trust in Williston, N.D. When he left 14 years later, he had risen to chief financial officer. He was single when he arrived in Williston, but as he left to pursue a new opportunity in Bismarck he was accompanied by his wife and five children. “It was a good time of our life,” he said.
