Gate City Bank to open a branch in Elk River, Minn.

Fargo, N.D.-based Gate City Bank will open a branch this summer in the northwest Twin Cities suburb of Elk River.

The branch, which will share a building with the grocery store chain Coborn’s, is the $3.2 billion bank’s 44th branch in approximately two-dozen communities in North Dakota and Minnesota. The branch’s opening comes on the bank’s 100th anniversary.

Gate City Bank is expected to follow the opening with a grand opening ceremony. “We chose this community for many reasons, but mostly because of its incredibly tight-knit culture, which aligns closely with our core purpose — to create a better way of life for customers, communities and team members,” said President and CEO Kevin Hanson.
