Heartland names CCO

Nathan Jones

Nathan Jones joined Heartland Financial USA as executive vice president and chief credit officer of the Dubuque, Iowa, holding company.

He will lead Heartland’s credit administration organization and provide leadership in formulating credit policies, processes and practices. He has previously worked for Bank of America, BMO Harris, First Horizon, and most recently, Fulton Financial as their CCO.

Jones had a degree in psychology and an MBA from Southern Methodist University, Texas.  He’s active with the Risk Management Association as a member of their credit advisory board and mid-tier bank advisory council.

Heartland operates 114 offices in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Arizona, Montana, Colorado, Minnesota, Kansas, Missouri, Texas and California through 11 charters.
