Rochester, Minn.-based Home Federal Bank recently donated a total of $3,000 to three local residents as part of the bank’s ongoing Seed Money campaign to recognize community difference-makers.
The volunteers who each received $1,000 in seed money included:
- Nancy Schnable, executive director with the tourism agency Discover Austin.
- Joe Falteysek, a retired carpenter and Air Force veteran from Owatonna, Minn.
- Sharon Jahn, a community volunteer from Spring Valley, Minn.
The Seed Money Campaign is part of the bank’s Community Roots Initiative, which is intended to strengthen communities through volunteering and charitable giving. In 2021, Home Federal donated $255,000 to 58 organizations.
