HomeTown celebrates Shakopee grand opening

HomeTown Bank, Redwood Falls, Minn., celebrates the grand opening of its tenth branch, in Shakopee, Minn.

Redwood Falls, Minn.-based HomeTown Bank celebrated the grand opening of its tenth branch, in suburban Minneapolis, earlier this month.

The $300 million HomeTown Bank’s branch is adjacent to a newly-opened Hy-Vee grocery store in rapidly growing Scott County’s Shakopee, approximately 30 miles southwest of Minneapolis.

More than 500 people attended the celebration to enjoy live music by the Two Hicks and a Chick, a performance by the Vikings SKOL line, register for prizes and dine on overflowing plates of BBQ from Hy-Vee.

“We couldn’t have been happier with the turnout; we had a huge crowd of all ages. We really enjoyed visiting with customers, meeting new customers as they opened accounts and giving tours of our new branch. We just love this community,” said Tim Grabow, president and CEO of HomeTown Bank.

It was a family event, and kids enjoyed a bouncy house, face-painting, lawn games, arts and crafts, rowing contests with Orangetheory and prizes. Several businesses in the retail block participated and provided prizes, including Hy-Vee, Orangetheory, GCS Title, KWG Advisors and The Sixton.

The bank gave away Welcome Wallets that included gift cards for Hy-Vee, Starbucks, car washes and Orangetheory for each new account opened and awarded prizes including a drone, big screen TV, professional sports tickets, gift cards, Canterbury Park tickets and more to attendees who registered.

Grabow was grateful, “We can’t thank the Shakopee community enough for welcoming us so warmly.”
