Horicon Bank promotes 4 to leading roles

Horicon Bank recently promoted four employees, including Steve Leaman and David Kruck to senior vice president; and Lisa Zarling and Kerry Murphy to officers of the bank.

A prominent Fond du Lac, Wis., community volunteer, Leaman began his banking career in 1998 and joined Horicon Bank in 2011. “By being active in the community through volunteer work and my professional position, I have grown to care deeply about the success of the Fond du Lac community and its local businesses, and it is an honor to work for an institution that feels the same way,” said Leaman.

Kruck began his banking career in 2003, and joined the $1.2 billion Horicon Bank in 2016. He is active in the Wisconsin Bankers Association’s Government Relations Committee.

Zarling joined Horicon Bank’s Deposit Operation Department in 1998. She moved to a treasury and commercial payment solutions support position and continues supporting business customers.

Murphy joined Horicon Bank in 2006 as a barista in the bank’s coffee house. She became a teller, universal banker, and then a universal banker trainer. She served on the bank’s acquisition and mergers team and continues to develop training for new programs. She serves as the chair of the Fond du Lac County Money Smart Week Committee.

“We are happy to promote these talented employees,” said Fred F. Schwertfeger, president of the Horicon, Wis.-based bank. “Our vision at Horicon Bank is to be bankers who care about our communities, our associates and our relationships. Steve, David, Lisa and Kerry do just that in our Fond du Lac, Oshkosh and Horicon communities.”

The $1.2 billion Horicon has 18 offices in Wisconsin.
