Illinois bank closed, sold to Texas bank

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency closed National Republic Bank of Chicago on October 24. The FDIC was appointed receiver. The FDIC has sold the failed bank’s assets to the $413 million State Bank of Texas, Dallas. State Bank of Texas, which has four branches in Texas, will add the failed bank’s two branches in Chicago to its footprint . . .
