Indiana-based The Farmers Bank appoints president, CEO

Frankfort, Ind.-based The Farmers Bank appointed Christopher Cook as president and CEO. Cook will assume the role when current President and CEO Karen Gregerson retires in September.

Cook, currently CFO of First Federal Savings Bank in Huntington, Ind., has also been a CFO at Muncie, Ind.-based MutualBank. He has an undergraduate degree and an MBA from Ball State University, Muncie, where he serves as an adjunct finance professor. He’s also an alumnus of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.

“Chris brings a solid resume to his new position, with over a decade and a half in senior management with some of Indiana’s best-respected financial institutions, but what really impressed us was his dedication to serving the community,” said Board Chair Stanley Smith.
