Indiana’s 1st Source Bank adds to board

Melody Birmingham-Byrd

1st Source Corporation, South Bend, Ind., announced the following elections to the board of its holding company and its subsidiary bank, 1st Source Bank:

Melody Birmingham-Byrd, president of Duke Energy Indiana, Plainfield, and Lisa Hershman, deputy chief management officer, U.S. Department of Defense, have been elected to the board of 1st Source Corporation, South Bend, Ind.

Birmingham-Byrd has 24 years of leadership and managerial experience in the electric power generation and automotive manufacturing industries. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in organizational leadership and supervision from Purdue University, Lafayette, Ind., an MBA from Strayer University, Herndon, Va., an honorary doctorate in humane letters from Saint Mary of the Woods College, West Terre Haute, Ind., and graduated from the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass.

Lisa Hershman

Hershman has 31 years of leadership and management experience in consulting, turnarounds, business process management, operational management and engineering. She brings experience in process management, innovation and redesign, managing mergers and acquisitions, and leadership training and education. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial distribution (engineering and management) from Clarkson University, Potsdam, N.Y., an executive certificate in innovation through IMD/MIT, Cambridge, Mass., and an executive certificate in finance from Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y.
