Indiana’s First Harrison Bank announces succession plan

Chris Frederick was named president and CEO of Corydon, Ind.-based First Harrison Bank. Joshua Stevens was named CFO of both First Harrison and its holding company, First Capital, Inc.

Frederick, 55, previously served as CFO of both the $1.15 billion, southern Indiana-based bank and holding company. He’s been affiliated with First Harrison since 1990.

First Capital President and CEO William Harrod will step down from his roles on July 1. Harrod called Frederick “a tremendous leader and partner as we have significantly grown in the communities we serve in Indiana and Kentucky. At First Harrison Bank, we believe that our culture is an essential component of our success, and our board of directors is looking forward to the future with [Frederick] in this role as he is a great steward of our culture.”

A CPA, Stevens, 36, joined the bank last August after serving in leadership roles at Indiana-based CPA advisory firm Monroe Shine & Co., from 2009-22.
