Iowa bank helps high schoolers with business pitch

Malvern Bank, Malvern, Iowa, mentored a team of high schools students to victory in a community college business-pitch competition. 

Tina Bakehouse, chief creative officer at the $147 million bank, coached southwest Iowa high school students in the “Minding Your Own Business” competition, where students created a product, marketing and financial plan, and presented it to judges at Iowa Western Community College. 

The students created an ag app idea with Bakehouse’s assistance, which won first prize.
