Iowa bank opens renovated lobby

Farmers Trust and Savings Bank, Spencer, Iowa, reopened its main lobby after months of renovation.

The remodeling effort was the building’s most extensive since it was built in 1967. To accommodate for both growth and continued staffing needs, the $484 million bank bought Spencer’s former City Hall building to continue operations during the renovation.

“Our staff is very excited to provide services in the expanded office area and remodeled main lobby,” said Mike Bryan, the bank’s president and CEO. “This will enhance the customer experience and provide for an improved workspace for each of them.”

On the wall behind the teller lines in the bank’s new entrance are the words ‘People First, Service Always.’

“We are very pleased with how the expansion and remodeling project turned out,” Bryan said. “Planning this project was very exciting for our bank and now seeing the project become a reality is even more rewarding.”
