Iowa’s Northwest Bank donates $20K for fine arts programs

Spencer, Iowa-based Northwest Bank donated $10,000 to the East Union Community Schools Eagle Pride Booster Club and another $10,000 to Algona (Iowa) Community Schools to benefit the districts’ fine arts programs. 

The donation will allow East Union to offer educational trips and student experiences. Northwest Bank’s donation to Algona Community Schools will help fund the middle school’s band trip to Altoona, Iowa-based amusement park Adventureland along with guest teachers for the high school band and tickets for students to attend a Broadway show. 

“Northwest Bank recognizes the positive impact that investing in youth has in shaping a bright future for students and the community,” according to the $2.9 billion bank. “This contribution reflects Northwest Bank’s dedication to providing opportunities for young people to explore their potential.”
