Ixonia Bank helped secure a $30,000 grant to real estate development company One 5 Olive owners David Griggs and Gregory Davis through a Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago grant program.
The Community First Accelerate Grant program helps businesses purchase or improve property; purchase machinery, tools or equipment; inventory, materials or supplies; embark on workforce development or training; and institute new technology or upgrade existing tech.
Griggs and Davis named the Milwaukee-based company after an intersection near their childhood residence, 15th Street and West Olive Street. Launched in 2016, the business operates in one of the most underserved parts of Ixonia Bank’s service area.
Ixonia Bank said the grant “will mark a significant investment in an underserved and underdeveloped area of Milwaukee. Dollars from this grant will be utilized for repairs to their office building, work vehicle replacement, and workforce development training.”
Ixonia Bank will contribute an additional $3,000 to One 5 Olive’s work in Milwaukee.
