Merchants Bank of Indiana opening new banking center

Carmel, Ind.-based Merchants Bank of Indiana will open a new banking center Jan. 18 at 201 S. Main St. in Lynn, Ind.

Merchants’ existing mixed-use office space in Lynn is expected to close at the end of the business day on Friday, Jan. 14, to relocate to the renovated building.

“It’s an honor to announce the official opening of the new Lynn banking center of Merchants Bank,” said Scott Evans, president and chief operating officer at Merchants Bank of Indiana. “As many bank branches are departing the town, Merchants Bank is staying put and keeping our doors open. Having our own building as an office space to welcome customers, will expand our reach within our community — providing ample access to personal and business banking, mortgage lending, agricultural lending services and so much more.”

The work comes after the 2020 ribbon-cutting of Merchants’ latest bank branch opening in Richmond, Ind. The bank also has Indiana branches in Spartanburg and Indianapolis.
