Fenton, Mich.-based The State Bank raised $44,175 during their Holiday Giving Campaign for the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan last year. Of that, more than $29,000 was from customer donations through candle sales. The remaining amount was donated by The State Bank employees.
The State Bank has raised $522,520 for the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan over 20 years, $438,143 of that during holiday campaigns.
Food Bank President and CEO Karen Ross said the work of The State Bank, employees and customers has enabled nearly 3 million meals to be provided to those in need. “For more than two decades, The State Bank has been an unwavering partner in our mission to combat hunger,” Ross added. “Their dedication, year after year, has profoundly impacted individuals and families facing food insecurity in our community.”
