MidCountry names CFO, CTO

Chris Vosbeek

Chris Vosbeek was hired as chief financial officer at MidCountry Bank, Bloomington, Minn. The bank also promoted Adam Simons to chief technology officer.

Vosbeek has extensive leadership experience in the banking industry, including nearly two decades at Bremer Bank, St. Paul, Minn. Most recently, he served as president of Habitat for Humanity of Minnesota for the past three years. HFHMN is a Community Development Financial Institution providing loan and grant funding for 30 Habitat for Humanity affiliates across Minnesota.

Vosbeek has a bachelor’s degree in business and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul.

“Chris brings a wealth of experience to his new role, and will help usher in a new level of performance for MidCountry Bank. We are fortunate to have him join our team,” said Steve Meads, president and CEO of the $786 million MidCountry.

Most recently director of corporate infrastructure, Simons joined MidCountry in 2009. Previously, he was an IT manager with Comcast Spotlight, Crest Healthcare Supply and Minneapolis accounting firm Boulay.

He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota, Morris, and a Master of Science degree in technology management from the University of St. Thomas.
