Minnesota’s First National Bank of Waseca recently rebranded as Keen Bank.
According to a press release, the change was made to differentiate Keen Bank from other banks with similar names while effectively encapsulating the bank’s services.
“We are so excited to introduce Keen Bank to our customers and community and make this change to better represent who we are today,” added Bernie Gaytko, CEO and director of the $175 million bank. “Serving our community with local and engaged ownership is what has set us apart from the other financial institutions for over 100 years, and this is at the core of who we are and what we do. Rest assured, this will not change. We are not being sold or acquired. Our board of directors and staff will remain the same. We are simply going to operate under a new name with a fresh, energetic look.”
The new name conveys a sense of enthusiasm, intelligence, perceptiveness and the ability to think clearly, attributes the bank wants to embody, it said in a press release.
The $175 million Keen Bank has three offices in southern Minnesota.
