Minnesota Lakes promotes two

Aaron Schnitzler was promoted to vice president, real estate division and Nicholas Wilcox was promoted to vice president, operations, at the Delano-based Minnesota Lakes Bank.

Schnitzler joined Minnesota Lakes Bank (formerly Crow River State Bank) in May of 2011 and most recently served as assistant vice president, real estate division. He began his banking career in 2002 as a loan processor at First Twin Cities Mortgage in Edina.

He worked briefly for Gibraltar Title Agency before being hired at Home Savings of America as a loan processor in 2008. Schnitzler has a Bachelor of Arts degree in computer science degree from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, Winona.  

Wilcox joined Minnesota Lakes Bank in 2014 and most recently served as assistant vice president, operations. He has four years’ experience as a credit analyst: two with Minnesota Lakes Bank and Grand Rapids State Bank, one at Prime Security Bank, Shakopee, and one at Community Pride Bank, Ham Lake, Minn.

Wilcox has two bachelor’s degrees—one in accounting and the other in business administration/finance—from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

“Aaron and Nicholas have played key roles in Minnesota Lakes Bank success and greatly deserve their promotions to vice president,” said David Krause, president of the $99 million Minnesota Lakes Bank.

Minnesota Lakes Bank also announced: Julie Wilcox has been promoted to senior vice president-marketing, brand management and communications, and has been elected to the board of directors; Cory Colter was promoted to vice president, personal banker; Kristi Poling was promoted to marketing and creative services manager; and Kate Seckinger has been hired as compliance officer.

Wilcox joined Grand Rapids State Bank in 2013 and most recently served as vice president of marketing. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in business from Coe College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and an MBA from the University of Iowa, Iowa City.

Colter joined Grand Rapids State Bank in 2008 and most recently served as assistant vice president, personal banker. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Poling joined Grand Rapids State Bank in 2015 and most recently served as marketing project manager. She attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities College of Design and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design with a minor in art.

Kate Seckinger

Seckinger brings almost 10 years of banking experience to Minnesota Lakes Bank, most recently employed as compliance liaison of Marketplace Home Mortgage, Edina, Minn. Previously, Seckinger worked at Citizen State Bank/CSB Mortgage, Bloomington, Minn., TCF Bank/TCF Mortgage Corporation, Minneapolis, and U.S. Bank, Minneapolis. Seckinger has a Bachelor of Science degree in social studies from St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, Minn.
