Former ABA leader named to Fed BoardThe U.S. Senate confirmed Elizabeth “Betsy” Duke to a Governor’s seat on the Federal Reserve Board on June 27. Duke, who in 2004-2005 became the first female to serve as chairman of the American Bankers Association, was nominated by President Bush in May 2007. She is filling a term set to expire in 2012.
