Online banking is now customers’ top choice

An American Bankers Association survey shows that for the first time, older Americans prefer to do their banking online compared to any other method.  The survey of more than 2,000 U.S. adults, conducted August 12-14 by an independent market research firm, revealed that the popularity of online banking among customers 55 and older has surged since last year.  Fifty-seven percent of bank customers 55 and older say they prefer banking online compared to 20 percent in 2010. This year, 62 . . .
