Warren leaves CFPB; Date named replacement

Rajeev V. Date has replaced Elizabeth Warren as Special Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, effective August 1. Warren is returning to her position at Harvard Law School. Date is leading the CFPB’s day-to-day operations, as former Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray awaits senate confirmation as the CFPB’s first director. Date was associate director of research, markets and regulations at CFPB. Before joining CFPB, Date worked for more than a decade in the financial services industry . . .
