Bank and credit union fail

      A bank and a credit union in the region failed recently. The Michigan Office of Financial and Insurance Regulation closed the Community Central Bank in Mount Clemens, Mich., on April 29, and the National Credit Union Administration placed the Hmong American Federal Credit Union, St. Paul, Minn., into conservatorship on May 4.

      Talmer Bank & Trust of Troy, Mich., formerly known as First Michigan Bank, paid a premium of 0.25 percent to assume the failed . . .
