North Shore Bank marking 100th anniversary this year

Brookfield, Wis.-based North Shore Bank is marking its centennial anniversary this year.

The bank, which was founded in 1923 by a group of teachers in Shorewood, Wis., has grown over the decades to a $2.6 billion institution with 43 branches in eastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

According to a press release, the bank is marking the anniversary by surprising customers at random with $100 cash prizes, giveaways and ‘celebrity video tellers.’ Employees are receiving additional paid time off to volunteer in their communities.

“We’ve grown and prospered in good economic times and even through challenging economies over the last century,” said North Shore Bank President Jay McKenna. “It’s that strength, stability and trust along with our dedicated employees, loyal customers, and community partners that has us ready to seize every opportunity during the next 100 years.”
